Al C. Restivo, Ph.D.
PRESIDENT & CEO

Al C. Restivo, Ph.D. is passionate about developing effective leaders and building organizations that are productive and friendly places where people individually flourish in an environment of collaboration and team work.
In his doctoral study, Dr. Restivo focused on how leaders affect subordinates. His doctoral dissertation is entitled: “A Comparison of Leadership Behaviors and Practices and their relationship to Occupational Stress and Job Satisfaction in Organizations”. In his research and in the development of his dissertation, Dr. Restivo paid special attention to why leaders affect people in very special ways.
Dr. Restivo has experienced an interesting and varied career which provides him with special insights into leadership characteristics, skills, proclivities and talents. His experience in the field of leadership and leadership development includes his role as an adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University and Cal State University, Los Angeles. From 1996 to 2002 he served as a professor at the Southern California campuses of the University of Phoenix where he taught organizational behavior at the undergraduate and graduate levels, organizational communication, marketing, management, supervision and leadership, interpersonal relationship skills, critical thinking and decision making, and marketing. A training and organizational development professional with over 30 years of experience, Dr. Restivo served as Corporate Director of Training for Avery Dennison Corporation where he was responsible for the training and development of over 15,000 employees worldwide for the $6 billion international company.
An educational leader, he served on the Eastchester New York Board of Education and the Eastchester Library Board. He also served as an adjunct professor at Westchester College (SUNY) where he was also chairperson of two key curriculum advisory boards: business and public service.
A father of two, and U.S. Air Force veteran, Dr. Restivo is active in his church and community. He has been a member of Kiwanis for over 35 years, serving as president of the Eastchester, N.Y. club in 1981-82 and has chaired the community services and spiritual aims committees of the Kiwanis Club of La Canada. Dr. Restivo served for 10 years as Chairman of the San Gabriel Special Division of the American Society for Training and Development. He previously served as Vice President and Director of the Sales and Marketing Executives Association of Los Angeles.
An active participant in his community, Dr. Restivo served as Chairperson of the La Canada Flintridge Public Safety Commission. His leadership was instrumental in bringing strategic planning to the commission. He was a founding member of and currently serves as chairman of the La Canada Flintridge Republican Committee.
He has been a civic volunteer and active in the political process for over 30 years. He was the founder and Executive Director of the Ecumenical Ministerial Association of La Canada Flintridge. He serves as a Eucharistic Minister at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles in Los Angeles.
His professional affiliations include the American Society for Training and Development, the American Counseling Association, The Employees Assistance Program Association, and the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association. He served as past Chairman of L.A. District 3 of the Professionals in Human Resources Association.
D. Lee Stoltzfus, Ph.D.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, DIRECTOR OF COACHING

Dr. Stoltzfus is Senior Vice President and co-founder of Oaktree Associates, Inc. He has been a practicing licensed clinical psychologist and organizational development consultant for over 20 years.
A well-known and respected educator, Dr. Stoltzfus held a National Teaching Fellowship in the Department of Communications at Simons College in Boston before coming to California where he taught in the Social Science Department at Pasadena City College for five years. He has since served as Clinical Professor at the Fuller Graduate School of Psychology where he earned both an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He also earned an M.A. in Theology from the Fuller Theological Seminary and an M.S. degree in Communications and Public Relations from Boston University.
Dr. Stoltzfus specializes in organizational development in such diverse topics as Stress Management for Health and Productivity, Self-Esteem for Peak Performance, and How to Build Winning Teams. In collaboration with Dr. Restivo, he has developed programs for positive behavior change in Customer Service and Time Management. He is a highly skilled counselor specializing in the administration of personality assessment instruments with emphasis on professional individualized feedback and personal coaching.
Dr. Stoltzfus also serves as an adjunct staff member at the San Diego branch of the Center for Creative Leadership. At this world-renowned organization, he specialized in executive assessment and management development coaching particularly for top executives and successful entrepreneurs.
A published author, Dr. Stoltzfus has been featured in "The Great Communicators," a 300-page anthology on communication and presentation skills. He has been a frequent radio and television talk show guest in the areas of Marital and Family Enrichment, How to Deal with Difficult People, and Self-Talk for Peak Performance.
Listed in "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities", Dr. Stoltzfus was selected as an "Outstanding Young Man in America" in 1977 by the American Junior Chamber of Commerce. He is currently listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, as well as "Who's Who Among Human Services Professionals" and is a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Society for Training and Development and the Professionals in Human Resources Association.
Dr. Stoltzfus' focus is on assisting business and government employees and managers to recognize their temperaments, personalities and styles so that they can create significant positive behavior changes which lead to enhanced effectiveness at work and at home
Josh Allan Dykstra, MBA
VICE PRESIDENT, STRENGTHS & TALENT DEVELOPMENT

At an individual level, he helps leaders to discover and leverage their natural talents in order to capitalize on potential in order to increase workplace productivity, life satisfaction, and company profitability.
A premier catalyst and agent of change, Mr. Dykstra brings years of expertise in brand alignment, creative communication, and talent development. He is a passionate leader with an eclectic organizational background in private enterprise, higher education, government, and nonprofit entities, and tremendous strategic instincts concerning social and global business trends.
He is also the author of two books, including The Silent Revolution, a business philosophy work about re-imagining organizations in light of the new economy, to be released in 2010.
In 2009, he completed an MBA in Executive Leadership from University of Nebraska-Lincoln (in association with The Gallup Organization). Josh is also an undergraduate of Colorado Christian University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Leadership.
Gary D. Davis
DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Gary Davis, Director of Human Resources Programs at Oaktree Associates, Inc. has been a human resources professional for the past 25 years. He is experienced in all human resources functions including recruitment, compensation and benefits, strategic planning, labor relations, contract negotiations, and employment law compliance. Additionally, Mr. Davis has a long track record of leading training for management as well as support and shop employees in union and non union environments.
A graduate of California State University, Northridge, with a bachelor of science in business with emphasis on human resources, Mr. Davis attended Yale University as a member of the United States Air Force where he served in military intelligence as a Japanese linguist.
A native Californian, Mr. Davis lives in Newhall, California with his wife Judy. They are the parents of two daughters who teach in special education programs. He spent his early years in Long Beach and Springdale, Arkansas.
Mr. Davis is a member of District 2 of the Professionals in Human Resources Management and serves as Chairman of the Vernon Chamber of Commerce Human Resource Roundtable.
Previous to joining Oaktree, Mr. Davis served as Manager of Human Resources for Barksdale, Inc. of Vernon, California.
