Management & Executive Coaching
Why Should Managers & Executives Get Coached?
As Barry Mabry, a successful partner at Ernst and Young who has worked with a coach for over a year, says:
“I guess I need a coach the same way Tiger Woods needs a coach. Tiger Woods definitely knows how to play golf, but his coach is still probably the most important person in his life.”
The bottom line is people overwhelmingly love having a coach, and Oaktree Leadership Development and Executive Coaching yields impressive real-world, bottom-line results, such as:
•Rapidly enhanced development of managers and leaders, decreasing the necessary development time between promotions.
•Learned leadership behaviors that result in higher levels of job satisfaction.
•Increased employee motivation and productivity.
•Decreased attrition and greater retention of managerial and executive talent.
•Improved ability to appropriately delegate and accomplish more through others.
•Increased ability to coach and develop direct reports.
•Improved communication and interpersonal relationships.
•Improved morale and motivation among employees.
•Significantly lowered expenses for severance recruitment and hiring.
How Is Coaching Done?
Coaching is generally held either in person or over the phone. Oaktree coaches prefer to coach in person, but for busy executives who can not easily take the time to travel regularly to our office (and for many of our out-of-state clients) we have developed a method of telephone coaching coupled with a limited number of face-to-face meetings to successfully deliver effective coaching. We have found no decrease in effectiveness in coaching using the telephone versus in person.
How Long Does Coaching Last?
At the beginning of the coaching relationship we strongly encourage clients to consider working with us for at least 3 months to experience the full benefits of coaching. However, the overwhelming majority of our clients find coaching so beneficial they work with us for an average of 6-8 months. We have some clients who have been working with us for more than two years or more.
Experience The Benefits!
Contact Oaktree by phone at (818) 952-1969 or at info@oaktreeassociates.com and ask for a complimentary Coaching Needs Assessment. Often, this can be accomplished in one telephone call, but an in-person meeting can be arranged if you prefer. We look forward to meeting you!
